Hyatt House Belmont/Redwood Shores

The property turned out to be an absolute disaster. Picture this: the lake, reeking like a sewer, the shower with barely a trickle of water, the stench of weed permeating the air, and a room that seemed untouched by any cleaning efforts. To top it off, scattered beer bottles greeted me beside the couch. I expected an average stay, but what I encountered was beyond dismal—a truly nightmarish experience.

Stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel rooms and service are great! Breakfast is below average, although they do serve coffee, tea and hot water continuously throughout the day. 👎🏽 location in relation to the city, groceries and public transportation is poor. You need an Uber to basically get out any time. Service staff was quite friendly.

Some staff were nice but some were not. Apparently you had to request room service which was something that was not mentioned during check-in or on the welcome paper or anywhere on my reservation. This was frustrating because I traveled with a party of 8 people and we needed our room serviced. To make matter worse, they explained in such a tone that blamed the fault on us! The pool was filthy dirty until we asked them to clean prior the kids jumping in. Breakfast was not impressive and dining area was too small. Our toilets kept getting clogged and we had to request the plumber twice, and the seats don't stay up due to loose screws! All in all, I will not be staying here anymore. If I'm going to pay almost a grand for three nights, I expect more!

I booked a suite for my mother and aunts to celebrate her 60th birthday. When they got back i learned about their horrible experiences at the hotel. They tried to play it off as if it wasn't a big deal but to me it was supposed to be a memorable getaway in a positive way. I tried to make it as enjoyable as possible by booking things in advanced. They said there was a room upstairs that was being very loud. Loud enough that they receive a call after midnight asking them to be quiet as someone else called and complained about that rooms noise and my aunt explained to them the noise was not coming from their room as they were asleep already. They got no apologies for being startled and woken up, let alone for the confusion. Someone tried barging into the room saying no one was supposed to be there and they got another call asking them why they were there. My aunt explained herself and the lady she spoke to said she would call them back. They were confused and never got a call back. This was such a disappointment on my mothers special day. I will be calling to speak to whoever is in charge of the organization for this hotel!
